The H-1B1 is a special version of the H-1B created under US free trade agreements with Chile and Singapore. It covers the same ground, professional roles that require at least a bachelor's degree, but skips the part everyone dreads: there is no lottery, and you can apply directly at a US consulate without waiting on a USCIS petition first.
Each year, 1,400 visas are set aside for Chilean citizens and 5,400 for Singaporean citizens, and these quotas almost never fill. Your employer files a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor, then you apply at the consulate with your job offer and credentials. There is no premium processing, but the consular route typically takes weeks rather than months.

What are the requirements
Chilean or Singaporean citizenship
Reserved by treaty for citizens of Chile or Singapore. Permanent residency in those countries is not enough.
Specialty occupation job offer
A US employer must offer you a professional role that requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field.
Relevant degree
A bachelor's degree or higher (or equivalent) in the field of the job you're taking.
Nonimmigrant intent
The H-1B1 is not dual intent, so you'll need to show you intend to return home when your stay ends.
