Business Visitor Visa

Short-term entry to conduct certain international business activities without obtaining a Canadian work permit. This can include attending meetings, conferences or trade fairs, negotiating or purchasing goods and services, receiving or providing certain forms of training, or carrying out eligible after-sales activities.

A Business Visitor comes to Canada temporarily for international business activities without entering the Canadian labour market. Permitted activities can include attending business meetings, conferences or trade shows, negotiating agreements, meeting clients or investors, participating in certain training, purchasing Canadian goods or services, and carrying out eligible after-sales activities.

A Business Visitor cannot perform the day-to-day, productive work of a Canadian position. Their primary place of business and source of income and profits should remain outside Canada, and the purpose of the visit should remain international in scope rather than amounting to employment in the Canadian labour market.
